Yes, the introductory workshop is free to attend, whether in-person or virtual. There is no obligation to purchase anything afterward.
Both cover the same core curriculum and are led by the same instructors. In-person sessions are held at a physical venue in select cities; virtual sessions are live (not pre-recorded) and joined online from anywhere.
Just a notebook and any questions you have. A laptop is optional but can be helpful if you want to follow along with platform walkthroughs.
